Lashes Amor tell you how to take care false eyelashes!
As the summer weather will get muggy, humid and very, very hot… we’re probably all thinking about how we’re going to keep our make-up from melting off and how we just cannot deal with applying mascara in this heat – false eyelashes application! Yes, flake free, long, thick fluttery lashes! Perfect for the hot days to come as we don’t have to worry about our mascara melting off and making you look like a panda by the end of the day, if you’re planning on getting false eyelash application for the summer or for a holiday abroad (no, we’re not jealous at all if you’re going abroad…) then we’ve got some extra advice to help you get the most out of your lashes. Take care false eyelashes, take extra care of them (hot or not).

Don’t pick or pull
Whatever the temptation, don’t pick, pull or pluck at the lashes if they’re starting to irritate you. We know you so desperately want to rub your eyes *sigh… hayfever sufferers, we understand how hard this will be!*, you might end up pulling off your own lashes as well as damage them. Please take care false eyelashes.
Use an oil free make-up foundation
If you can hack it and still wear make-up in the groggy heat, when it comes to removing your make-up, always make sure you use a non oil-based foundation (even if it’s not necessarily hot, we always recommend an oil free foundation if you want to false eyelashes applications on).
Shade those eyes!
If you plan on being outside in the sun for all hours of the day, try and keep sunglasses on to shade your lashes from direct sunlight as this may weaken the bonds. To keep the bonds strong, make sure you use a professional lash sealer to coat the lashes to strengthen them.
Take care in the pool
If you plan on taking a dip in the pool or sea, make sure you don’t completely dunk your head in the water. A few splashes here and there are okay but no laps please! Pool and sea water can irritate your eyes, causing you to want to rub them. No, you don’t want to do that… We will always advise to avoid heavy water contact when you have false eyelashes application.
Avoid steam
Try and avoid any excessive steam such as using saunas or steam rooms, this, just like direct heat from the sun, can weaken the bonds.
Careful with the sunscreen
Always use sunscreen to protect your skin, especially your face! However, if you have wearing false eyelashes and want to get the most out of them, try and not use a spray-on sunscreen. Apply the sunscreen with your fingers, being extra careful around your eyelashes.
Pat dry
As we’ve already said, no rubbing! If your eyes get wet, don’t rub them dry, lightly pat them with a cushion compact.
